Research experience in molecular biology:
1998-2000, University of Parma, Department of Environmental Sciences, Evolutionary Ecology group, temporary position in varius projects (IMPAFOR, LIFE98) regarding genetic and physiological analysis on Fagus sylvatica and Abies alba;
2000-2005 University of Parma, Department of Environmental Sciences, Genetics and Biotechnology group: research work in different national and international projects (COFIN2000, DNA-TRACK, OLIV-TRACK) focused on the determination of the genetic identity of different food products variety components, developing and using different molecular technologies based on PCR and molecular markers (SSRs, AFLPs, SNPs);
2002-2003, National Institute of Agricultural Botany, (Cambridge-UK), Marie Curie fellow in molecular methodologies to determine and evaluate the integrity of DNA after industrial processing of plant-derived food products, also with the aim to identify DNA of foreign origin and composition.
Teaching experience: 2005 University of Parma, "Molecular markers and their uses in the biological sciences" and "Host-parasite interactions and biological control" modules of degree in Biotechnology.
