Trento by itself is pleasant to be visited (Castello del Buonconiglio, Duomo and its museum, Cable railway of Sardagna, Museums, etc.). The historical centre of the city is full of shops and bars where you can enjoy real Italian ice cream and also good wines. Rovereto (it can be easy reach by train) has also a pleasant historical centre, it has a museum on the first World War and a new International Museum of Modern Art (MART).
