Lavis stands at the centre of an area boasting a century-old vine-growing tradition, back in the times when the Rhetians, a proud and enterprising people, started producing their quality wine. The name of the town of Lavis derives from the Avisio stream which is one of the most significant features of this area. The strength of the Avisio is summarised in the Latin word “vis”, which means strength
Situated in the heart of Trentino - South Tyrol, the La-Vis Cellar is the expression of a collective wine production wealth, gathering as many as 1,250 wine farmers who take special care of a hilly land devoted to vine growing, up to an altitude of 800 m. a.s.l.

Sponsor workshop activity:
Cantina Rotaliana di Mezzolombardo will offer one of its best wines to sponsorize the workshop. Every participant will get a bottle of Clesurae, Teroldego Rotaliano DOC.

All grapes devoted to the production of this wine come from vineyards where a perfect balance between nature and production methods, obtained by the technique of thinning out the grapes, leads to considerably high alcohol content and structure.
The resulting wine is a unique product that can well satisfy the "international" taste, without loosing in the least the local character and unmistakable class of Teroldego, since time immemorial the prince of Trentino wines.
