Converging Sciences

Objective: Integration of the last IT-Information technologies results into the agricultural field.

Agriculture needs the support of the IT-information technologies to manage pathogen and insect diseases or to analyse environmental, biological and meteorological data. This research area, called "Converging sciences", is the expression of this need of integration between several sciences, from IT sciences to agriculture, from business economy to psychology. Through research activities, institution with different scientific backgrounds, will develop together common research projects with shared goals. Relevance will be given to the information system application in agriculture, oriented to the decision support systems, alert and monitoring systems.

Part of the activities will be done by the Istituto Agrario in San Michele a/A, Trentino, Italy.
