Use of a parasitic wasp to reduce Cydia infestations in apple orchards.

Brief description of the research project:
Control of Cydia sp. populations in apple orchards with the gregarious ecotparasitoid Hyssopus pallidus.

Main used techniques:
Mass rearing of the parasitoid and it's hosts in the laboratory, testing procedures of the parasitoids efficacy under semi artificial field conditions.

Future research development:
Release of the parasitoid into apple orchard.
